This tryout program is intended for girls in 7th and 8th grade who desire to compete at the highest levels. The goal of the Select program is to train committed, highly skilled 7/8 players to compete in 10-12 games with other NJJGLL Select teams during the season. They will be trained and coached by a professional trainer hired at the beginning of the season. There is an additional fee, on top of the MLBT registration fee, to participate in this Program.
Tryouts for girls in 7th – 8th grade that want to play on the u15 Select Team are held in the Spring before the Season begins. Registration and a nominal assessment fee ($20) are required to cover the costs of independent trainer/evaluators and indoor time at Indoor Sports Pavillion in Randolph. The tryout is organized by the Board of the MLBT Girls Lacrosse program who have no daughters trying out for the team. The evaluators are brought in from outside the program and have no prior knowlegde of the girls who are trying out for the team. It is a two hour tryout consisting of warmups, drills and full field game play. Please contact Tina Mehring at
if you have any questions.
